The Commander in Chief

Chapter 6 — Mars (Mangal)
Mars (Mangal) represents Courage, Energy, Brothers, and Blood. In Lal Kitab, Mars is unique because it has two forms: Mars Good (Mangal Nek), the selfless protector, and Mars Bad (Mangal Bad), the destructive force.

Mars in House #1

The Truthful Warrior

Summary: “Sword of Justice.” You are brave, truthful, and naturally commanded by high morals. You are a protector who fights for the right cause.

  • You are courageous, adventurous, and a “Desh-Bhakt” (Patriot).
  • You will likely have the support of the government or authority figures.
  • If you become selfish or cruel, your Mars turns bad.
Remedies & Precautions
  • Do not accept anything for free; avoid charity.
  • Do not tell lies.
  • Apply a red Tilak (vermilion) on your forehead.
  • Keep a square piece of silver in your pocket.
  • Respect your brothers.

Mars in House #2

The Wealthy Guardian

Summary: “Dharma Murti (Idol of Righteousness).” You are the protector of your family’s wealth. You are destined to be rich, but your wealth is tied to how you treat your brothers.

  • Wealth comes easily, especially if you live in a joint family.
  • You have a strong, commanding voice.
  • If you fight with your brothers, you lose your wealth.
Remedies & Precautions
  • Do not get into property disputes with siblings.
  • Do not leave the family home if possible; stay together.
  • Feed brothers or friends with sweet food (Halwa).
  • Keep a red handkerchief.

Mars in House #3

The Helpful Tiger

Summary: “Jungle of fruits for others.” You are incredibly brave and self-made. You are like a tiger who protects his territory but also provides for others.

  • You are fearless and a pillar of support for your family.
  • Success in fields requiring physical strength (police, army).
  • Blood-related health issues are possible.
Remedies & Precautions
  • Do not be arrogant about your strength or boast.
  • Wear a silver ring (without a joint) on the left hand.
  • Donate blood or medicine.
  • Keep ivory (or a white stone substitute) in the house.

Mars in House #4

The Burnt Mother

Summary: “Burning Fire.” This is the specific position for Manglik Dosha. Mars here has no direction and burns the peace of the home. It creates conflict in domestic life.

  • If controlled, you have immense energy to protect your family.
  • Success in land and property dealings.
  • “Fire in the lap of water”—emotional volatility and marital discord.
Remedies & Precautions
  • Crucial: Do not marry without matching horoscopes (Manglik check).
